Welcome to my website. I am an artist living in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. I currently work as a painter and printmaker and am a part time tutor at Llanover Hall Arts Centre in Cardiff and the Adult Education Centre in Cowbridge.
I work in mixed media, often combining the processes of printmaking with painting and drawing. I work from my studio at home and at the Howardian Centre, Cardiff. I am a member of VOGA (Vale of Glamorgan Artists) and Cardiff Print Workshop.

My work originates from observations of natural forms that I see in my surroundings.  I have always been fascinated by the shapes and colours of growing and decaying processes of plants; shapes formed by the elements; erosion of rocks; the continuous cycle of life.

Some of my work has been developed from drawings done of unusual rock forms at Ogmore by Sea and Pembrokeshire eroded by the sea and the weather to make extraordinary shapes.  Other pictures are derived from the landscape and plant forms.

Recent work has been about the ancient oak trees in Dyffryn Gardens in the Vale of Glamorgan.  Other work has been the result of walks to the neolithic burial chambers  in Pembrokeshire.

These subjects which inspire me all have a connection as they are part of our ancient heritage and are moulded  by the elements and time.

Drawing plays an important part in the understanding of how things are formed and in the development of ideas.
